[REQ] Mainframe operating systems

Hope this isn't against the rules, but if it is, please feel free to close/delete the thread.

I recently grew an interest in Mainframes and I'm currently looking for some/most of the OS's that ran on these beasts.
Any and all versions are welcome, but mostly looking for the following (higher priority first):

VSE/ESA 2.4 (ADCD)
VSE/ESA 2.7 (ADCD)
z/VSE 3.1 (ADCD)

MESHRESU95.rar

The rest of the "u95" meshes.....
As you can see this is pretty useless. The special surface flags won't display at all on pegasus/golem instead making the mesh or part of the mesh invisible in the editor mode...ingame it all gets wobbly though.
Really disapointment on this part. Next I'm gonna try to have the Unreal map changed in september demo and see how the pegasus really is supposed to display there...because I get the feeling it's supposed to display the backdrop/enviro stuff. Kinda like the schmalz editor displayed it more or less correct...

EDIT: This makes me conclude that this version is definitely not good for meshes and more for lighting/surface stuff. Speaking of lighting, perhaps there are unused lighting types? That is the only thing we haven't researched yet...

MDF itself isn't proprietary, only the MDS format which contains all the vital information about the image, and even so there are other tools that can create and handle them. How many other third party tools other than Microsofts can handle ESD images?

GateSrc (Gatekeeper's Source Code)

GateCli & GateSrv src (includes GateUtil.bas)
those can be compiled.

Here it is.
GateSrc.zip

I do hope yrex could reverse engineer with this.
Unreal 0.84 with adding two cameras worked,
and LeoTCK got 0.86 to work under GateCli.

But let's see about GateCli to work under .NET or something.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. engines source code

Not sure if this old news already but since I just recently stumbled upon this and didn't find it mentioned anywhere here I figured I'd open up this thread.

So apparently the sources for the engines of all three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games (multiple versions even) have been leaked:

Shadow of Chernobyl & Clear Sky (both of them can be found in stk-src-tags.7z)

Call of Pripyat (judging by the modification dates of the files in the archives I'd say the untouched sources are in stasvn.7z but I don't know the history behind stk-cop-trunk-r8384.7z so that could be an official version as well)

There also seems to be source of a very early version of the X-Ray 2 Engine (reading through some of these posts with google translate it seems to be a very early version of the Vostok Engine).

Last but not least there is another archive posted simply called "XRay.rar" but I don't know which engine version thats supposed to contain. It was orginally posted here but for some reason access to the file on the hoster is non-public.
However after looking around a bit it seems the same file is available on this wiki.

All of these links were originally posted here, as well as links to a few repositories working on the sources and two wikis dedicated to the sources (one of which is mentioned above).

seconded! Especially the ADCD distributions would be welcome. Everything you find on the 'net is just preinstalled disk images of z/OS etc.

BTW you did notice that there's an OS/400 on BA already, right? It's not directly a "Mainframe OS" but the concepts are similar (though there's no emulator out there for the AS400, and there probably will never be one)

Yup; I've seen ISOs of a Demopkg (labeled as ADCD, but it's not) of OS/390 V2R10, as well as VM/ESA 2.4 ADCD.
There's also files corresponding to ADCD of z/OS 1.10

I found some more on P2P, but not being actively shared.

I did notice the OS/400, but as you mention it's not mainframe, there's no emulator that I know of, and it's in German which I don't know

PS: Glad to know I'm not the only one interested

Time for some more data, mainly from excellent Reznik's wiki. This guy really dug through all the data in clients. The only minor problem I have is that there are his model edits available on the wiki - don't get me wrong, they are great but they should not mix with information about early wow.

So first of all, I didn't notice this blurry screen of early Stormwind that was unveiled at Blizzconn posted anywhere:

Small question: How is the build tag displayed on the desktop/login, is it from user32? I'm wondering since I'm looking to add a tag saying "SD Windows NT 4.0"

That's a cool find. This screenshot is similar to the old gamespot one but bigger and from different angle. This map could have even been in the missing alpha leak for what we know.
But as for what I promised yeterday, here he is with a proper wing skin that was already included in the alpha:

This crashes game too often and I had only one frame shot while posessin just like with the wizard(minus the jiggling thouh).

Anyone who has the 88 version I recommend trying this out:
un88decotest

Unfortunately the rockslide still doesn't fully work because they are deemed too big to fit (look at the log file).....even though i placed it up and even to the other room...at least it doesn't crash the damn game like in the later versions...

But this features decorations and in one map artifacts and altartrigger still working. You pickup one, deliver it to the altartrigger(the pathnode default display thing), it gets "registered", an event could be triggered and then you pickup the other artifact and do the same...

It also has bloblets and chameleon to try out...

Hello.i was able to download some ISOS.it take me a lot could found (and time to download because no many person sharing on emule).
if i dont remember bad they are the ADCD of z/OS (excuse me i dont remind the version).
I download to install them on hercules emulator.

they were some great articles where show how install and make it run ,but i dont remind if i keep them also on digital form (i print but let a friend who loose them

Burn the iso and unzip the ckd files. Use the config file as a sample to start

*** WARNING ***
For an unknown reason Hercules 3.02 cannot start the DB2 V8. DB8GDBM1 gets an S0C1.
You have to install the 3.03 CVS version to circumvent this problem.
To install it, follow the instructions on the Hercule page http://www.conmicro.cx/hercules/
Anyway it is the only problem I had with 3.02. The 3.03 CVS is rock stable

Definitely interested in the z/OS 1.5 ADCD ISOs!
I found it in the mule, but no one is sharing (not actively anyway).
If you don't mind uploading them somewhere, I'd really really appreciate it.
